Spis/Docs

CLI command

spis reference-record remove

Remove one reference, its retained visual, and its record directory, then renumber later index entries.

Invocation#

bash
spis reference-record remove <catalog> <NN|slug> [--force]

Remove one reference, its retained visual, and its record directory, then renumber later index entries.

Inputs and options#

  • <catalog> and <NN|slug> are required. --force authorizes deletion when motion or journey evidence is present.

Output and state effects#

Deletes the selected record directory and local visual, removes its catalog/index entries, renumbers remaining references, regenerates indexes, and prints removed CATALOG record IDENTIFIER. This permanently mutates evidence.

Refusals#

These messages are emitted by the current Rust implementation:

  • reference: the record carries motion or journey evidence; pass --force to delete it permanently
  • reference: record "IDENTIFIER" not found in CATALOG-examples
  • Missing inputs and unknown flags use the same exact reference: parser refusals as the other leaves.
